تقوم السياسة الإيرانية على أساس توسيع نطاق الحروب في المنطقة إنطلاقاً من حاجتها للخروج من أزماتها الداخلية. ولتحقيق ذلك فإنها توجه أذرعها لافتعال المشكلات، وتفجير المواجهات المسلحة لإغراق المنطقة في هذه الحروب التي تخدم مصالحها.

وبالتوافق مع هذا التوجه الشرير قد أوحت إلى المليشيات الحوثية الإنقلابية مؤخراً بتفجير الوضع في البحر الأحمر وباب المندب وإغلاقه في وجه الملاحة بدءً بما أسمته حصار المملكة العربية السعودية متخذه مما تدعيه حصاراً على اليمن ذريعة كاذبه للإقدام على هذا العمل الخطير.

وفي هذه التطورات الخطيرة، وإقدام المليشيات الحوثية المدعومة من إيران بتفجير ناقلتي نفط تتبع المملكة العربية السعودية، فإن الحكومة اليمنية تدين بأشد العبارات هذه التصرفات العدوانية غير المسئولة للحوثيين، وتدين سلوكهم برفض كل محاولات الوصول الى حل سلمي بما في ذلك الجهود الدولية والإقليمية التي بُذلت حتى اليوم.

وتشير السفارة إلى ما أكده فخامة الدكتور رشاد محمد العليمي، رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي، من أن استعادة مؤسسات الدولة وإنهاء الانقلاب يمثلان المدخل الحقيقي لإنهاء معاناة الشعب اليمني وتحقيق سلام مستدام يستند إلى المرجعيات الوطنية والإقليمية والدولية ذات الصلة.

وتجدد الحكومة اليمنية رفضها القاطع للمزاعم الحوثية بشأن وجود حصار على اليمن، وتؤكد أن تدهور الأوضاع المعيشية والاقتصادية يعود، بالأساس، إلى انقلاب المليشيات الحوثية على الدولة، واستهدافها الاقتصاد الوطني والمنشآت النفطية، وعرقلتها جهود السلام، وزجّ اليمن في صراعات إقليمية لا تخدم مصالح الشعب اليمني.

كما تؤكد الحكومة اليمنية عزمها العمل على استئناف تصدير النفط بكل الوسائل المشروعة، باعتباره حقاً سيادياً ومورداً وطنياً أساسياً، وتوجيه عائداته لخدمة المواطنين في جميع المحافظات، بما في ذلك الوفاء بالتزامات الدولة، وصرف مرتبات الموظفين، وتحسين الخدمات العامة، ودعم الاستقرار الاقتصادي.

وتدين الجمهورية اليمنية بأشد العبارات إعلان مليشيا الحوثي ما وصفته بفرض حظر أو حصار بحري على الملاحة المرتبطة بالمملكة العربية السعودية في البحر الأحمر، وتعد ذلك تصعيداً خطيراً وانتهاكاً لمبادئ القانون الدولي وحرية الملاحة البحرية، وتهديداً مباشراً لأمن المملكة وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها وممراتها المائية، وامتداداً لاستخدام البحر الأحمر وباب المندب أداةً للابتزاز وتقويض الأمن الإقليمي والدولي.

وتؤكد الجمهورية اليمنية دعمها للإجراءات التي تتخذها المملكة العربية السعودية لحماية سيادتها وأمنها وسلامة أراضيها وممراتها المائية، وتدعو المجتمع الدولي إلى الاضطلاع بمسؤولياته في تنفيذ قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة، ولا سيما القرارين 2216 و2722، ومواجهة التهديدات الحوثية التي تستهدف الأمن الإقليمي والدولي وحرية الملاحة البحرية.

وتتطلع الجمهورية اليمنية إلى استمرار دعم حكومة المملكة المتحدة للحكومة اليمنية الشرعية، سياسياً واقتصادياً وإنسانياً، وتعزيز التنسيق المشترك لحماية أمن البحر الأحمر وباب المندب، ودعم استعادة مؤسسات الدولة، وتمكين الحكومة من ممارسة صلاحياتها السيادية واستئناف مواردها الوطنية، بما يسهم في تخفيف معاناة الشعب اليمني وتحقيق سلام شامل وعادل يحفظ وحدة اليمن وسيادته واستقلاله وسلامة أراضيه.

STATEMENT - EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF YEMEN

Iranian policy is based on expanding conflicts in the region, driven by its need to find a way out of its internal crises. To achieve this, it relies on its proxies to create problems and ignite armed confrontations in various countries, in pursuit of its own interests.

In line with this malicious approach, the Houthi coup militias recently ordered the escalation of the situation in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, with the aim of closing it to international navigation, starting with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, using what it claims is a blockade on Yemen as a false pretext for undertaking this dangerous act.

The Yemeni government has condemned these aggressive acts, including the Houthi militias’ blowing up of two Saudi oil tankers in a dangerous act that marks the beginning of their war, in line with their rejection of all regional and international efforts aimed at achieving peace and restoring state institutions.

The Embassy recalls the remarks of His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, president of the Presidential Leadership Council, who affirmed that restoring state institutions and ending the coup are the true path to ending the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieving sustainable peace based on the relevant national, regional and international references.

The Yemeni Government categorically rejects Houthi claims regarding the existence of a blockade on Yemen. It affirms that the deterioration of living and economic conditions is primarily the result of the Houthi militia’s coup against the state, its targeting of the national economy and oil facilities, its obstruction of peace efforts, and its involvement of Yemen in regional conflicts that do not serve the interests of the Yemeni people.

The Yemeni Government also affirms its determination to work towards resuming oil exports by all legitimate means, as a sovereign right and a fundamental national resource, and to direct its revenues towards serving citizens in all governorates, including fulfilling the State’s obligations, paying public-sector salaries, improving public services and supporting economic stability.

The Republic of Yemen condemns in the strongest terms the Houthi militia’s announcement of what it described as the imposition of a ban or maritime blockade on navigation linked to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea. Yemen considers this a dangerous escalation, a violation of the principles of international law and freedom of maritime navigation, and a direct threat to the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty, territorial integrity and waterways.

The Republic of Yemen affirms its support for the measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to protect its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity and waterways, and calls upon the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in implementing the relevant Security Council resolutions, particularly resolutions 2216 and 2722, and in confronting Houthi threats targeting regional and international security and freedom of maritime navigation.

The Republic of Yemen looks forward to the continued political, economic and humanitarian support of the Government of the United Kingdom for the legitimate Yemeni government, and to strengthened joint coordination to protect the security of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, support the restoration of state institutions, enable the government to exercise its sovereign powers and resume its national resources, in a manner that contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieving a comprehensive and just peace that preserves Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
